Resolved Question: Do you think that horse racing now is more about making money off these poor animals?

My mom HATES horse racing. After she found out that Eight Belles was euthanized she said that why do you think they were there?So their owners could make $2000000 off of them and those animals have legs like toothpicks! She's been around the track and saw a horse go down herself and be put down on the track. She grew up around horses! Personally i think the sport is becoming more and more filled with greed! Now i realize that every sport has its risks but i do love animals and have a soft spot for horses. I know that breeding is a private practice and theres no laws about that but there should be and it should state something like inbreed carefully or even better don't inbreeb at all!
